We’ve made an important update to OrbitNote’s Exam Mode, designed to make high-stakes assessments more secure, streamlined and student-friendly.
What’s new?
Answer paper option removed: To prevent confusion and reduce risk during assessments, students can no longer add answer papers within OrbitNote during Exam Mode.
Clearer wording: The previous “Insert paper” option has been renamed to ensure instructions are crystal clear in timed or pressured situations.
Accessibility tools remain: Core supports like text-to-speech and highlighting are still available, so students can access content without compromising exam integrity.
Why it matters
For schools and institutions, Exam Mode is a vital feature, and these refinements help it run even more smoothly.
This update:
- Increases security by limiting non-essential functionality
- Reduces confusion through simpler, more precise language
- Maintains accessibility so learners can stay supported while staying within exam rules
Looking ahead
With exam season approaching, this update ensures OrbitNote remains trusted, compliant and student-ready. We’ll continue working closely with educators to evolve Exam Mode, always balancing fairness with accessibility.
