Read&Write Prediction now supported in OrbitNote

Student using OrbitNote on a computer

We’ve introduced updates to OrbitNote that strengthen writing support, improve usability on smaller screens, and enhance overall reliability.

This release includes support for Read&Write Prediction when the Read&Write Chrome extension is running, along with interface improvements and important bug fixes designed to support everyday classroom use.

What’s new

Read&Write Prediction support

OrbitNote now supports Read&Write word prediction when the Read&Write Chrome extension is running.

This means students can benefit from predictive writing support while working in OrbitNote, helping them write more confidently and efficiently within PDFs.

By combining annotation tools with word prediction, students can develop their ideas with fewer interruptions and greater independence.

What’s improved

Better experience on smaller screens

We’ve improved the OrbitNote interface to work more smoothly on smaller screens.

Whether students are using laptops, smaller devices, or split-screen views, the updated UI ensures tools remain accessible and easy to navigate.

This supports more flexible classroom environments where device types and screen sizes may vary.

What’s fixed

Improved document loading and Microsoft login

We’ve made improvements to document loading and Microsoft login processes to create a more reliable experience.

These updates reduce delays and login friction, helping lessons start smoothly and keeping students focused on learning rather than troubleshooting.

Speech bug fixes

We’ve also resolved several speech-related bugs to ensure text-to-speech works consistently across documents.

This supports students who rely on reading tools to access and understand content.

Supporting confident writing and access in the classroom

For educators, these updates mean:

  • Stronger writing support for students within PDFs
  • A smoother experience across different devices
  • Fewer interruptions related to login or document access

For students, they support:

  • More independent writing with predictive text assistance
  • Easier access to tools on smaller screens
  • More reliable speech and document performance

By strengthening writing support and improving reliability, OrbitNote continues to support inclusive classroom practices that help every student express their ideas with confidence.
