Keynote

The problem isn't screen time, it's design

The answer is not abandoning technology, but using it more intentionally. Dr. Tucker challenges educators to rethink the role technology plays in learning. Rather than using technology as a pacifier that keeps students occupied, we must use it as an amplifier that expands what is possible. Educators need support in using technology strategically to increase communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, while creating more time for meaningful interactions with individual learners and small groups.

Dr Catlin Tucker

Keynote

Purposeful technology for powerful outcomes

As educators navigate growing questions around AI, screen time, digital distraction and learner engagement, this closing keynote will bring the day's conversations together around one central idea: technology has the greatest impact when it is used with purpose. Drawing on themes of literacy, learning design, accessibility, neuroinclusion and future readiness, the session will explore how schools can move beyond reactive technology adoption and make intentional choices that help more learners access, engage and achieve.
